**Hours/salary & benefits  

Full Time Permanent Role - £13.85 per hour, 40 hours per week.

Our staffing model is based on a 5 from 7 working pattern, where each staff member works five days out of every seven. This role operates on a seasonal rota:

  • Summer Season (March - September): You will be rostered to work one weekend in three.

  • Winter Season (October - February): You will be rostered to work two weekends in three.

Shifts will include working Bank Holidays if this day falls within your shift pattern, but you will receive a day in lieu.

The person

  • Street and greenspaces cleansing experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

  • Applicants must be reliable and conscientious, have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Possessing the ability to work as part of a team and on one's own initiative.

  • Flexible and willing to work a seasonal, rotational shift pattern, including weekends.

  • A keen eye for detail.

  • A Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

The Opportunity

The role requires working outdoors and encompasses many different areas, from litter picking, emptying bins, graffiti removal, to ad hoc assignments across the Elmbridge Borough.

Key duties also include:

  • Carrying out groundsman duties.

  • Conducting park inspections and reporting any issues.

  • Driving company vehicles and towing trailers as required.

  • Adhering to all Health and Safety procedures.
