Landscape and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

Bath & West Somerset

Up to £32,000 Salary

We are looking for a Supervisor to work with the Contract Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of grounds maintenance in Bath and Bristol.

The Supervisor plays a crucial role in our management team, overseeing the delivery of exceptional gardening services, meeting with customers, and ensuring the contract runs smoothly. This opportunity is suitable for experienced candidates who have previously held similar roles or for an enthusiastic individual seeking career progression into management with a leading UK green services company.

Main Duties:

  • Assist the Contract Manager in effectively managing the programmed works.

  • Oversee the delivery of work through the 'Glendale Live' field management system.

  • Motivate, support, and monitor the performance of delivery teams across a wide geographical area.

  • Monitor staff timekeeping, holidays, and sickness.

  • Proactively lead by example.

  • Maintain and enforce the security of vehicles, plant, and equipment.

  • Enforce quality and customer care ethics throughout the workforce and maintain workforce discipline.

  • Take responsibility for health and safety and actively participate in maintaining and improving the overall Company Health and Safety culture.

The Person

  • A clear and proven history of leading staff or small teams is required.

  • Good time management skills and the ability to work in a demanding environment are essential.

  • Enthusiasm, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills are also necessary.

  • It is important to understand and value the significance of working as a team.

  • Good IT skills are a must, as well as a driving licence.

  • Previous experience in estimating work and delivering innovative customer solutions would be an advantage.
